Effect of nano-urea and herbicides on yield and yield attributes of wheat (Triticum aestivum)

A field experiment was conducted during the winter (rabi) season of 2021–22 at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, to investigate effect nano-urea and herbicides on yield yield-attributing characters wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The tested in a split-plot design with 4-nano-urea based treatments, viz. control (no nitrogen), recommended dose nitrogen (RDN) 120 kg N/ha, 50% RDN + 2 sprays nano-urea, 40 60 days after sowing (DAS) 75% 1 spray (at DAS) main plots 4 weed management options, sulfosulfuron metsulfuron methyl 5% WG (ready mix) @ g a.i./ ha 30 DAS; tank-mix clodinafop propargyl carfentrazone-ethyl (60 20 a.i./ha) weed-free check unweeded check, subplots replicated thrice. Results revealed that, attributes were significantly higher 100% RDN. This treatment also resulted 18% more grain (5.21 t/ha) over (3.7 (4.4 respectively. Among weed-management superior followed by tank mixed carfentrazone ethyl 20g DAS. However, significant ready-mixed terms number ear-bearing tillers/m2 grains/spike which yield. Thus, (120 N/ha) along tank-mixed DAS are productive options for wheat-growing farmers keeping view uprising labour cost manual weeding.
